Radiohead - No surprises
This video may be disturbing to some people as it shows Radiohead frontman go through pain and discomfort, almost drowning on screen. It took him many takes to complete that scene as he couldn't handle staying under the water for so long. That one moment relates to some of the lyrics in the song which is why it is relevant to the video.
Sinead O' Connor - Nothing Compares To You
This was a cover of U2s song Nothing Compares to You, and it has quite a deep meaning to the song, to the video and to Sinead O' Connor herself. She made this song hers because of this video. She had not long lost her mother and one of the lines "all the flowers you planted , mama" made her cry in the video which made it that more personal to her
Fat Boy Slim - Weapon of Choice
People would have never thought that Christopher Walken was a dancer in his spare time, and pretty much blew people away with his dancing moves for this music video.
Bob Dylan - Subterranean Homesick Blues
An interesting fact about this video is that it was done in one take behind a hotel that Bob Dylan was staying at. He also loses sync with paper he is holding up which had started a craze for all sorts of musicians.
Talking Heads - Once in a Lifetime
Many people consider this video to be a masterpiece, it was shown in the museum of modern art in New York.
So Solid Crew - 21 Seconds
With this video it created a fear for some people as the characters in the video looked thuggish and villainous and this caused a little out rage to some people. It also showed signs of gang culture and mixed race people together which showed people were quite racist to the video. In a positive view it brought hip hop to the british music industry.
Small Town Boy - Bronski Beat
The subject matter of this video is that the person it is based upon is gay and meets someone who he likes and seems to like him, he seems like a loner and has no friends because he is gay because at the time men that were gay were usually beaten if they were found out about. He meets someone but had only lead him on and the guy and hi friends had beaten him which also links in with the song lyrics. It also challenges hegemony as the protagonist is gay, with hegemony the protagonist is normally heterosexual or straight.

Copyright
Copyright is the basic rights creators, musicans, writers and film makers have over their work so that nobody can copy their work and have the rights to keep. With the owners permission other people can use their work for their own ue with certain boundries, so if I were to use the song One by Metallica I would have to get in contact with the members of the band to ask their permission to use their music for my purposs in this case to mae a music video. If they accept they would be back in contact, or if i was a TV programme that would like to use their music they would give a licence to the company at a cost.
Using their music without permission will get you in a huge amount of trouble, can even end up with in court and with a huge fine just for using their music without their permission.
