Famous Album Art Analysis

Hardie of the famed design firm Hipgnosis developed what would become one of the most identifiable logos in rock and roll, the “white light into the pyramid” image that is on the cover of The Dark Side of the Moon.
It was on the instruction of band member Richard Wright to come up with something “smarter, neater and more classy,” that Hardie came up with seven different designs, the pyramid being the unanimous choice by the group.
Reflective of their light show at the time, the album’s name and lyrics (and the embodiment of the “simple” and “bold” directive), the design was enhanced by bassist Roger Waters, who insisted the six-colored, indigo-lacking rainbow track through the cover’s gatefold to the back cover.

The Purpose of a Music Video

The purpose of a music video is to promote the music and the band, it's a way to get the bands names out in the music industry. It's also a way of giving more to the fans and gaining more fans. It will also be put on the web for all fans to see like on youtube. With there appearance on the video it creates an image for the band and fans can copy there appearance.
